Yirgacheffe is a small town and coffee-growing district in the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia, at elevations of 1,700–2,200 meters above sea level. The combination of high altitude, rich soil, and traditional shade-grown cultivation produces coffee with exceptional complexity.
